Our school Arts Ambassadors, as well as seven other schools from our academy chain, went to Tiverton Academy today to learn about being a good ambassador. Our morning started off with Sarah Bailey, Arts Connect Coordinator, teaching us how to recognise different forms of art. We didn’t realise that writing was a form of art too! After that we prepared a presentation to the other schools about why the arts are so important and what we do to promote this at our school already. We learnt all about the skills that are needed to be a successful ambassador just like J.K.Rowling (women’s rights) and Mo Farah (sports). And finally, the most exciting part of our day was planning out our action plan (umbrella thought shower) of how we are going to develop the arts back at SHP over the next year.
