Yesterday (Saturday 3rd November), 12 members of SHP’s choir had the honour of performing at ‘Lest We Forget’, a national children’s World War One remembrance concert at the Genting Arena (NEC) in Birmingham.
Through music, song and drama, the concert remembered and paid homage to the sacrifice of all who fought and died in WWI. It brought together 2500 children from across England and Wales. Our choir performed a number of songs throughout the show as part of a 2000-strong choir, accompanied by The Birmingham Schools Symphony Orchestra and The Ealing Youth Orchestra.
It was a truly memorable experience for our choir and they did the school proud with their exemplary behaviour, beautiful singing and the respect they showed for others.
