I am the Principal of the Shireland Hall Primary Academy. Our Academy partner is the Elliot Foundation. Together we are committed to working with children, families and the local community to provide an enriched curriculum , promoting Learning for Life and preparing our children for their future.
We are committed to providing pupils with as many opportunities as we can to ensure they become “Responsible citizens, confident individuals and successful learners”.
I am delighted to be able to tell you that Shireland Hall Primary “continues to go from strength to strength” (Ofsted May ‘22).
Some really important indicators for this are:
Our 2022 SATs results for Year 6 were ‘above national’ in Reading, Writing and Maths,(74% compared to 59% National) This was significantly above the national and in the highest 20% of schools.
KS2 progress in Reading (2.5) was significantly above national and in the highest 20% of all schools
KS2 progress in Maths (2.3) was significantly above national and in the highest 20% of all schools.
Outcomes for children in our Early Years continue to rise.
Phonics results for 2021/22 were above national (81%)
Attendance is above both national and local figures. Our absence figures put us in the same band as the top 20% of schools.
We actively support schools both within and beyond the multi academy trust.
Ofsted May’22 recognised that we remain an “outstanding” provider and recognised that leaders at all levels are “inspiring”.
