If your child is not already in education and you wish to apply for a place at Shireland Hall Primary Academy for them, please complete this Initial Interest Form (link)

The Admissions Team will receive your form and your child will go onto our waiting list. If a space becomes available you will be contacted.

If you would like to check on the progress of your interest form please email shpadmissions@gbshp.org after one month of you submitting the form.

If you wish to transfer your child from another school to Shireland Hall Primary Academy you will need to ask that school for one of their 'in year' or 'mid year' transfer forms. Once you have completed your section, your child's school will complete relevant information on the form and you will return this to us, with any supporting documentation. Your child will then go onto our waiting list.

If you wish to transfer your child to another school from Shireland Hall Primary Academy, please obtain the relevant form from our front office. You will need to complete the relevant information, then we will complete any school-specific information on the form and return this to you, with any supporting documentation, to go to the school you would like to transfer to.

Visits to the school:

We do not arrange regular tours or visits to the school but we may set them up for Reception intake at certain times of the year.

If you are interested in visiting the school please email shpadmissions@gbshp.org with your contact details and the year your child will be going into. You will be advised further by the admissions team.

Children start in Reception during the September following their 4th birthday. The application window usually opens in October and closes mid- January prior to the September the child would start in Reception.

Applications for Reception places MUST be made through the child's home local authority. The application process varies between Local Authorities,(LA), so please contact the LA in which the child lives for further information.

We offer free nursery places, (15 hours per week), to children from the age of 3. If your child currently attends another nursery setting, your 15 free hours can be transferred to Shireland Hall Primary Academy.

Subject to availability of places, nursery age children will attend the following:

Autumn Term

Acorns class: 08.30 - 11.30, Monday to Friday

Spring and Summer Term

Acorns class: 08.30 - 11.30, Monday to Friday

or

Conkers class: 12.30 - 3.30, Monday to Friday

Nursery children will start with us the term after their 3rd birthday, which will be in either the September or January.
