At SHP, we aim to host a coffee morning for parents of pupils with SEND every half term. Each coffee morning has a bespoke focus that we believe will be beneficial for you and your child, many of which are delievered by outside agencies that work directly with children and their families.
Take a look at the coffee mornings we've held so far this year (25-26):
Autumn 1 - Sandwell Parents Voices United
Focus: advice and information for parents of pupils with SEND
Autumn 2 - Speech and Language Therapy
Focus: understanding the service and what support is offered for your child
Spring 1 - Inclusion Support : Specialist Advisory Teacher for Social, Emotional and Mental Health

We are excited to announce that we have launched our first ever parent forum at SHP. Starting May 2026, we will be hosting a termly meeting for parents of pupils with SEND to get together for a tea or coffee and a catch up.
The goal of this group is to provide a safe, mutual space where you can connect with other parents, share experiences, and offer support to one another. Being a parent of a child with additional needs comes with unique rewards and challenges, and we want to ensure you have a dedicated community right here at school.
We will be sending out a date for the Summer 2 meeting shortly.
